OMT and ULIS Pioneer AI Integration into LMS for B1–B2 Writing Assessment

On June 5, 2026, OMT participated in the research conference “Artificial Intelligence in Language Testing and Assessment” hosted by the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The event brought together educators, researchers, and technology experts to explore how AI is transforming language education and assessment.
At the conference, representatives of the Faculty of English Language and Culture and OMT jointly presented their collaborative research project, “Integrating AI into the Learning Management System (LMS) for Writing Assessment” The solution combines academic expertise with OMT’s educational technology platform to develop an AI-powered tool to assess students’ writing skills aligned with English proficiency level B1 and B2.
Unlike conventional grammar and spelling checkers, OMT’s AI-powered LMS evaluates writing more comprehensively by analyzing text organization, coherence, vocabulary range, and alignment with CEFR B1 and B2 standards. The system also generates personalized feedback immediately after submission, helping students improve their writing while significantly reducing teachers’ marking workload.
Within the conference, the panel discussion focuses on practical AI adoption in education, with participation from edtech companies including OMT, educational institutions and local education authorities. Discussions focused on bridging technological innovation with real classroom needs and promoting responsible AI implementation in teaching and assessment.
Through its collaboration with ULIS, OMT continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing AI-powered educational solutions that enhance learning quality, support educators, and accelerate digital transformation across Vietnam’s education sector.
