The Online Management Training program (OMT), funded by GCF and implemented by OCD, is now running in full steam in its 3rd month of deployment.
Output 2 of this project aims at “institutional capacity building: a team of Vietnamese trainers trained and authorized to deliver quality training for SME exporters in both classroom and e-learning mode”. Under this Output a series of Training of Trainers (ToT) courses will be organized by OCD, to equip Vietnamese trainers in the OMT trainer network with learner-centered training skills, and more importantly, build the capacity for them to develop and deliver on-line training courses.
During March 24-27, 2009 the first ToT course has been organised in Hanoi for 20 trainers coming from Hanoi and former Ha Tay province. Participants practice training and development skills from the course design, development and delivery to course evaluation. Beyond traditional classroom ToT techniques, the course introduces participants to the process of development and delivery of training courses in online and blended learning modes.
A team of experienced Master Trainers facilitate the learning process of participants before, during and after the training course. The OMT technology team support the class with setting up online learning simulation and helping participants to familiarise themselves with e-learning and blended learning.
Based on the experience and lessons learned from this course, the next ToT courses will be organised for the OMT trainer network in GCF-supported provinces in the coming months of 2009.
