OMT launched online tutoring service in AP, new SAT and ACT prep for Vietnamese students going to study abroad

In October 2015, OMT partnered with a team of experienced Vietnamese tutors to launch NOVED Innovation Education System (www.noved.edu.vn).

NOVED combines the best of MOOC educational resources with teaching and tutoring skills of experienced Vietnamese instructors, online, on demand, to provide “dream catcher” solution to Vietnamese students planning to study in English-speaking colleges and universities in VN and abroad, especially to gifted and ambitious students with limited access to quality classroom tutoring.

Our reasonably-priced online tutoring program focuses on: Advanced Placement tutoring; new SAT and ACT exam prep; TOELF and IELTS exam prep.

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program created by the College Board, which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. North American colleges and universities often grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations. The AP curriculum for each of the various subjects is created for the College Board by a panel of experts and college-level educators in that field of study.  In 2015, 2,483,452 students from 21,594 schools all over the world took the AP exams.

According to the latest report by Education USA, by 2014  the number Vietnamese students studying in US higher education institutions is over 17,000, making Vietnam the eighth leading place of origin for students coming to the United States; and the trend continues to increase year on year. The majority of these students are undergraduate students, studying business/management (40%) and engineering, math/computer science programs (20%). Thus at NOVED, we selected and developed blended-learning AP Step Up courses around these majors, so as to best prepare the brightest students from Vietnam to jump start their peers right before they start their college years.

NOVED is also a platform for revenue-sharing model with tutor-owned courses, to promote collaboration with outstanding individual tutors, allowing them to focus on teaching, while NOVED taking care of technology and student recruitment.
