This unique training program, a first in Vietnam, is an intensive online trainer development program based on the award-winning Master Online Teacher Certificate Program designed by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 

Many trainers and faculty members in Vietnam today have no experience or formal training in online instruction, while proper online ToT programs in Vietnamese language for Vietnamese trainers are generally fragmented and not up to date.

As a global partner of theIllinois Online Network (ION) OMT has combined the best international practices from ION with our own rich experiences developing online programs and deploying elearning systems in Vietnam, into the “Online ToT” program for Vietnamese trainers and lecturers, who are interested in making online teaching an important part of their academic careers, or who wish to take a leadership role in online learning at their institutions.

Participants to OMT’s “Online ToT” program will be introduced to the capabilities of current technologies for online teaching and learning, practice on Moodle, the world’s most popular Learning Management System, are enabled to design pedagogically sound and highly engaging online content, learning activities, and student assessments. They are guided and facilitated by OMT’s experienced Master Trainer team inonline course design and creation by incorporating appropriate roles for faculty and students, choosing technology suitable to the audience, creating and assigning effective summative and formative online assessments, demonstrating the communicative nature of online courses, and following sound online design principles.

Master Trainer: Ms. Vu Thu Ha

Ms Ha is currently acting as HR Manager in charge of HR Strategy and Staff development of Deloitte Vietnam. With 6 years of experience in practical human resource management, her experiences include strategic human resource management, staff training and development as well as performance management. Specialising in staff training and development, Ms. Ha is experienced in training tools and methodology, designing training courses and has managed various training courses at Deloitte Vietnam, OCD, Inpro, to name a few.

Ms. Ha plays an instrumental role in developing the first “Online ToT” program for Vietnamese university lecturers in 2010 and upgrading it since then.

Ms. Ha holds a Bachelor degree in International Economics from the Institute for International Relations and Master of Human Resource Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She is also a Master Online Teacher certified by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Master Co-Trainer: Le Huy Long

Mr. Long is the Elearning Development Manager of OMT. Over the last few years he has been overseeing the successful development of online training programs and implementation of elearning systems for a number of Vietnamese clients, including the TBT Vietnam office, QUACERT, Phu Thai Group..

Mr. Long is a certified ISO 9000 and ISO 22000 Lead Auditor and has consulted various companies including the International Dairy JSC (IDP), Long Giang Tea Company, Huy Quang Foods, Hai Ha Confectionary Company, Hien Thanh Foods and Ha Long Beer Company. As such Mr. Long is also the Lead Trainer for OMT’s online programs on Quality Management System, Food Hygiene and Safety and Exporter Market Standards in Hygiene and Safety for OMT.

Long holds a bachelor’s degree from Hanoi University of Technology and a Master Online Teacher certified by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
