Upon becoming a Global Partner of the Illinois Online Network (http://www.ion.uillinois.edu/) in January 2009, OMT has enrolled almost 20 Vietnamese trainers to the year-long Master Online Teacher Certificate program with the prestigious University of Illinois, to master the international best practices in online learning development and system deployment.

OMT advocates for and supports the objectives of the Illinois Online Network, to become an innovative elearning provider who “promotes and builds the foundations for developing, delivering, and supporting online enhanced education throughout the world”.

OMT is an active training partner in the area of Corporate Governance supported by the Corporate Governance Program implemented by the IFC office in Vietnam.

With support from the IFC, OMT develops and provides intensive training courses on “Corporate Governance: the Key to Success for Public Companies in Vietnam”, aimed to update directors, corporate secretaries, senior managers of Vietnamese public and listed companies with the best practices in corporate governance around the world and the business case for improved corporate governance for public and listed companies in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Open Educational Resources (VOER)

Open Educational Resources (OER) is an important support tool for education and research that is developing fast in the world. The Vietnam Foundation (VNF), the founding member of Connexions Consortium, is currently co-operating with the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training to apply OER for in-country educational, training, and research institutes. OMT became a member of VOER (www.voer.edu.vn) since January 2010, with the goal to promote the uses and development of OER at the enterprise level and national level through using Connexions Rhaptos software system, deployed by the VNF, then to expand software application in managing and sharing information in enterprise community and organizations in Vietnam, in the region and the world.
