On 22 April 2019, Matific, an edutech company headquartered in Sydney launched its maths resource in Vietnam through its partnership with two local edutech providers, Online Management Training and Con Tu Hoc.
Matific online math resource has been translated into 30 different languages to be used in more than 50 countries across the world. The partnership between Australian and Vietnamese edutech suppliers is expected to bring opportunities for primary schools across Vietnam to invest in world class maths teaching activities in Vietnamese language.
Matific is built on developing skills of primary students in problem solving, critical thinking and conceptual understanding. Their content content is well adapted and aligned with the new Vietnamese curriculum for general education which aims to prepare Vietnamese students to become global citizens with 21st century skills.
The launching event attracted more than 85 participants who were mainly primary school principals and maths teachers in Hanoi. As a concrete sustainable follow-up, two schools – one of which is Hanoi Adelaide School delivering South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) in Vietnam – signed MOUs with Matific to pilot this online maths platform in their schools.
